Poplotta - Visual identity
Poplotta is an upcycling clothing brand creating light, colorful kimono robes from pre-loved and deadstock fabrics. Each piece is one of a kind, built around unexpected combinations of colors, patterns and textures.
The visual identity reflects this playful, resourceful approach to making. The custom letterforms feature distinctive cuts inspired by tailoring patterns, subtly connecting the logo to the process of constructing a garment.
The idea of using what is already there continues throughout the brand system. Instead of producing additional materials for labels, leftover fabric scraps from the making process are repurposed into unique textile tags, finished with an embroidered Poplotta “P”. As the fabrics constantly change, every label is slightly different - just like the garments themselves.
Bold, joyful and a little unpredictable, the identity celebrates the beauty of mixing things that were never meant to match.
